Leicester is divided into three Parliamentary constituencies, shown on the map right.

Leicester East and Leicester West are represented by Labour MPs Keith Vaz (see website) and Liz Kendall (see website) respectively.

Leicester is part of the East Midlands Region.
It is represented in the
European Parliament

LEICESTER SOUTH CONSTITUENCY
Leicester South is of course represented by Sir Peter Soulsby. He took the seat from the Liberal Democrats at the 2005 General Election and at the 2010 General Election he more than doubled his majority (see full election results).
