We use this page to let you know what's
happening during the General Election campaign
in the Leicester South constituency. Of course,
we cannot put everything on this page - life is
a little too hectic for that, but when the issues
are important we will try to make sure we tell you about them.

Workers Memorial Day
Peter takes time out from his campaign to join Labour City Councillors in Town Hall Square to mark Workers Memorial Day. This annual event, organised by Leicester & District Trades Union Council, remembers those workers killed or seriously injured at work, and promotes healh and safety in the workplace.

Democracy at work
Peter speaking to students at Crown Hills College. This is one of many talks he gives to local schools on the work of an MP.

Peter has continued to give these talks even though he is hard at work campaigning for the General Election as he believes it is important for young people to have access to an MP and ask questions on the workings of democracy.

Out on the campaign trail
Photos from the campaign trail. Peter talking with voters near the Campaigning Street Stall that Peter held on Saturday 17 April on Saffron Lane.

This was a well attended event, Peter meeting and talking with over 50 constituents. Plus, on such a bright sunny day there's time to share a joke or two...
