This website was established to help keep constituents informed during the
General Election campaign. The results of the vote are shown below this letter of thanks.
At the election count I said that I believed the vote was a vote of confidence in the work I have done over the past five years - a vote of confidence from the people of Leicester South.
I am a Labour party member but I have also been an independent voice on big issues. It was a lively campaign which looked close at some points.
We had plenty of hustings events and debate. I'm particularly pleased with the number of people who have voted Labour in Leicester South.
I would like to thank all in Leicester South for re-electing me as their MP. I will endeavour to repay that support throughout the next Parliament and continue to work hard for all in Leicester South.
